small ripples

a poem

The water beneath the bridge ripples,

Causing all the negativity to vanish,

Beneath the countless debris,

Whose quantity remains unmeasured,

Only questioned.

~~~
The water cascades through the weir,
Recounting all the tales that fell short
In capturing hearts and captivating minds.
But really, who even cares?
Only those who were absent.
~~~

As the river flows in full flood,

It asserts its calming might

Upon those who lack the strength

To banish all that is not right.

~~~
The river possesses a potent driving force,
Challenging the indolence that permeates this world.
With its swift current, it cleaves trees in two,
Submerging them in an enigmatic whirlpool.
~~~

Lost in the recesses of my mind,

I have forgotten what it feels like

To have faith in the mighty current

The one that guides towards the correct path.

~~~
