Conflicts can be painful and unnecessary. With everything that is happening in the world, I'm sure that you would agree.
Conflicts arise because everybody has different perspectives on an issue. Furthermore, all viewpoints are valid. Everyone is entitled to think what they do.
Meeting in the middle is a tricky endeavor. Getting someone to relinquish the perspective they value and aligns with their values is no easy task.
So, why do we need to build bridges? We need bridges to resolve conflicts. We need them to build relationships . Bridges help us to navigate differences between cultures, and most crucially, they promote peace.

A Broken Telephone
One of my favourite childhood games was one my classmates fondly termed 'Broken Telephone.' The game entailed passing a message to people in a line until the last person received it. The last person usually received a distorted version of the message.

I love...I need to just add this...in case I forget to elsewhere...how you will add some sage advice or explanation before your beatitful writing, Michelle. It's a very thoughtful approach! Well done and I agree, like Dharr said...too many people seem content on just burning bridges and not trying to compromise and meet halfway. Many think it's like turning their back on their own views or something...when really there is so much more to it! Well done!
