The story of why bones are the way they are

Most creation stories explain how the world came to be, why the sun is in the sky, why storms come around, and even how humans began to walk the Earth. Fewer explain things about the human body itself and even fewer have truth in them.

Today I'll be sharing with you the story of why bones are as white as they are. I understand that may sound like a grim topic but it's rooted in a much more wholesome place that I think you might enjoy.

You see, it doesn't matter which creation story you believe, the story is the same. The beauty of the story is that since it can be tied to any creation story it can connect humanity even if it's only in some small way.

The story goes as such, as whichever god you believe in was creating the world in their own way, they took samples of the strongest dust they could find on the Earth and they made an outline for humans, that would be our bones. Now if you've ever seen crime show or taken a biology or anatomy class, you know that the human skeleton is a thing of wonder. It is so beautifully complicated, so intricate in its design, the way everything fits together perfectly, that the god making it had to take their time and look closely at each skeleton they made. When they did this, however, they picked up the skeleton and brought it close to their face. Their face was close to the sun as the god was in their respective heavens or domains. Being that close to the sun bleached our bones forever, no matter how long they lasted in our body, no matter how dirty they could've become either physically or metaphorically, they stayed bleached.

And isn't that wonderful? A small, majorly unseen reminder that someone out there cared enough to make sure we would be alright during our time on Earth.
