It Remains Beautiful
Embrace the beauty
There have been 126 sunrises since the day you left. I haven't seen them all but I've seen some.
Today was one of the days I saw one. And as I was driving to work, the sunrise to my left, I had a realization.
That no matter how hard I tried, no matter how hard I willed it not to be, the world would remain beautiful, even if you weren't in mine.
Since you left I had tried to will ugliness into the world, bring it down with me, make it a reflection of what I feel nearly every day.
Yet it remains beautiful, seemingly in defiance of me though I know the world does not care or know of me.
It remains beautiful.
