Tree of Life

Another Meditation

If life is a tree

Then life will cease with the death of the last tree on Earth

If life is not a tree

Then life will still halt with the death of the final tree

A tree is alive and needs to live

For itself and many other creatures that depend on it

A tree can outlive any other life

Ain’t that something in the scheme of things

I once knew a tree

That allowed me to climb it and sit on one of its burly branches

We conversed for a while

I spoke and it listened attentively through its leaves

I then started to sing

O tree of life I love you so

Will you see me through till the dying of the light

A kind wind blew our sounds

And all the trees in proximity began to rustle

Secret words full of green and life
