I'm sure that you'll agree with me when I say that it's not easy to step into another person's shoes and that we wish that someone would step into ours. '

Empathy is the heartbeat of relationships, but it is sadly undervalued. Everyone appreciates another person being able not to just say "I understand you," but to say "I AM you."

The art of being able to walk in someone else's shoes is always crucial. It deepens our understanding of those around us. It builds trust between people, is a clear sign of emotional support, and makes communication possible. The breakdown of empathy compromises relationships.

So let's be a bridge that links hearts and minds. Enjoy these free verses

Bridge

That links

Deep waters

Of heart

And mind

Bridge

Its stable pillars

Let all walk

With grace and poise

Bridge

Sturdy floorboards

Support weary legs

of all

Bridge

That joins

All

As one.
